How far would you or have you travelled to see Skyclad?

Am wondering how far people would travel to see Skyclad? given the situation with not playing lots of gigs, I can imagine some folk would travel a long way.

Myself and our bass player travelled from Calisle, UK to see them in `Club Helvete, Oberhausen, Germany` 24th October 2009; great night, late night, many beers, good crack with Steve, Kev, Georgina, Bean, and Arron.

I am always keeping an eye out for gigs abroad the atmosphere is fantastic :-)

Cluny gig

He may be a ‘Well-Travelled Man’ but Kevin’s firmly on home turf for the ‘Back Home Again’ gig at The Cluny, Newcastle (20/04/2012). This show will feature solo and band performances of songs from his solo album – ‘Flying In The Face Of Logic’ – as well as some Skyclad favourites.

‘Friends’ include Steve, Georgina and Arron (from Skyclad) as well as Steve Reay (guitar), Dave Anderson (bass) and Sophie Ball (fiddle).

Plans for 2012 taking shape

Plans for 2012 are coming together for my solo work and for Skyclad. These include the first gig in Newcastle for my solo album (at the Cluny on Friday, April 20), Skyclad playing at the ‘Up The Hammers’ Festival in Athens (on Saturday, March 3) and the Ragnarok festival in Germany (on Saturday, April 14) as well as working on new material. More updates will be posted shortly about gigs and videos and … well everything!

Hi all, just a note to say that we are now starting to confirm gigs and festivals for 2011 - one of the first is the 'Folkwoods' festival in Eindhoven, Holland on August 12th (and don't forget that Steve and Bean will be with Satan for the 'Keep It True' Festival in April).

Hello all,

It seems a little quiet here so this might get a little bit happening as well as helping me out.
I'm putting together a website of my own. One of the pages is an archive of the past Skyclad gigs.
The problem is my memory becomes a little cloudy at about 2008 and earlier...Possibly the result of good European ale :-D

The challenge is to compile a comprehensive list of gigs since I joined the band. I have looked through all the pages on here without much success.

It's the 20th Band Aniversery. Will there be a special Setlist for Dong or other gigs this summer? Some "not heared for long time" songs? Stuff like The One Piece Puzzle, Building A Ruin, Single Phial, The Disenchanted Forest, No Deposit, No Return, Cry of the Land, Isle Of Jura, Postcard from Planet Earth, Still Spinning Shrapnel, Art- Nazi or Something to Cling To would be great. The band has such a huge back catalogue. Some new old songs would make it more diversified.

Forgodsake on My Space

Hello, just a word to say that I have made a little 'My Space' site for my old band 'Forgodsake'. Probably should have done it earlier but I saw a page on the net and thought I best do an 'official' one. As you probably know Forgodsake did a couple of UK tours with Skyclad back in the 1990s and Steve, Fritha and Martin all appear on various songs (see if you can spot them).
